Endeavor Content’s KILLING EVE Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge Heads To Canal+ following star-studded Canneseries Debut

French sale secured following star-studded Canneseries debut

Endeavor Content/IMG, the scripted television and feature film financing, development and sales division of Endeavor (formerly WME I IMG), has inked a deal with CANAL+ Group for the French broadcaster to air spy-action thriller series Killing Eve, starring Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy, Sideways) and Jodie Comer (Doctor Foster, Thirteen). Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Killing Eve is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for BBC America and is based on the novellas by Luke Jennings. The two leads and creator Waller-Bridge were in Cannes this week for the inaugural Canneseries Festival where the first episode premiered to international acclaim.

The series debuted in the US on BBC America on 8th April and has also been sold internationally to HBO Europe for Scandinavia, CEE, Spain, Portugal, and Portuguese-speaking Africa; HOT for Israel; and TVNZ for New Zealand.

Killing Eve centers on two women; Eve (Oh) is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle (Comer) is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two fiercely intelligent women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge serves as lead writer and executive producer. Sally Woodward Gentle and Lee Morris are executive producers, with Colin Wratten serving as producer and Sandra Oh serving as associate producer.
