Life Finds A Way… THOR: RAGNAROK’s Jeff Goldblum set to return to his Dr. Ian Malcolm role in JURASSIC WORLD 2
Earlier this week JURASSIC WORLD and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 star Chris Pratt warned that the forthcoming JURASSIC WORLD sequel will be "darker" and "scarier" than its predecessor and now we get word that acclaimed actor Jeff Goldblum will return to his role of Dr. Ian Malcolm.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Goldblum who starred as Ian Malcolm in 1993's Jurassic Park and 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, has signed up to appear in the sequel to JURASSIC WORLD Directed by A MONSTER CALLS helmer J.A. Bayona.
There isn't much else we know about Goldblum's role at this point, but it is believed that he'll reprise the part of mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm from the first two films, since he does survive both films.
The legendary actor joins the returning cast of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as well as new recruits Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones. Colin Trevorrow who Directed JURASSIC WORLD has written the script with Derek Connolly.
JURASSIC WORLD took $1.67 billion worldwide in 2015 making it the fourth-highest-grossing movie in history.
The legendary actor has a busy year ahead, he'll be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in THOR: RAGNAROK as Grandmaster which hits Cinemas in October and is set to reunite with THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL filmmaker Wes Anderson on his upcoming film ISLE OF DOGS.
