Eighth Edition of The London Rolling Film Festival Takes Place this Sunday at London’s Phoenix Artist Club in Soho

08 September 2017

The 8th Edition of the London Rolling Film Festival will take place Sunday 10th September 2017 from 12 to 6pm at the “Phoenix Artist Club” (Soho).

The Festival, run by an all female team, is an unconventional mix between a film night and an industry networking event. Its main purpose is to showcase talented filmmakers and facilitate synergies and future collaborations between industry professionals at all levels. It is mainly attended by actors, directors & producers but also make-up artists, fashion designers and journalists. It's a vibrant event in constant evolution.

Artistic Director and founder of the Festival Alida Pantone has confirmed today the Official Selection, together with an excellent lineup of special guests and judges.

To present the event will be the gorgeous and multi-talented Award winning Actress, Producer and Host Ellie Torrez.

Ellie has worked on many British and international film & TV projects, including Eastenders, Run Fat Boy Run, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People and Last Chance Harvey. Dom’s passion for storytelling and powerful narratives is best suited for the big screen. This includes international shooting in Sicily, Scotland, Austria, Spain and Germany, showing an ability to create high production values and adaptability on any budget from short to feature level. His work has been Official Selection at the London Independent Film Festival, as well as winning various awards including ‘Accolade award for Excellence in filmmaking’ at the Hollywood Florida Film Festival in 2016. His latest feature is set for a 2018 release.

We will show the trailer of his feature film “Winter Ridge”, starring Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones), Matt Hookings (Maleficent), Olwen Kelly (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and Alan Ford (Snatch). It tells the story of a young detective whose wife falls into a coma and, unable to cope with her condition, throws himself into a case where he finds himself on the hunt for a serial killer.

Will follow a short Q&A with the Director. So be ready with your questions and business cards!

During the event we will also have short interviews with the Directors in competition, conducted by Ellie Torrez and broadcasted live on the official Facebook page of the Festival thanks to our media partners The Fan Carpet and Doragoemon.
