Chloe Grace Moretz joins Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson and Mia Goth in Luca Guadagnino’s retelling of SUSPIRIA

04 October 2016

Whilst she recently announced that she was pulling out of her upcoming films, it has been announced that Chloe Grace Moretz is set to star Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, and Mia Goth in the new retelling of the classic horror feature Suspiria.

Variety report that A Bigger Splash filmmaker Luca Guadagnino is directing Suspiria from a script by David Kajganich based on the film written by Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi.

Described as a passion project of Guadagnino’s who has wanted to do a new re-imagining for some time and has been at the forefront of getting this remake off the ground, Suspiria is based on the 1977 film from Italian horror master Dario Argento, the movie follows a young ballet dancer who travels to a prestigious dance academy in Europe, only to discover it is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural amidst a series of increasingly grisly murders.

Moretz currently has Sacha Gervasi’s November Criminals in post production and Gerard Barrett’s Brain on Fire ready for release, Swinton will next be seen as The Ancient One in Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange and has War Machine and Okja in post production, Goth has A Cure for Wellness and Marrowbone in post production, heading for release next year and Johnson has Fifty Shades Darker from filmmaker James Foley in post production, ready for release next February.
