"Packed full of thrills for the whole family, Despicable Me 2 is a definite hit"

After I saw Despicable Me back in 2010, I couldn't wait for the follow up, so three years later Gru, Edith, Agnes, Margo and the lovable Minions are back and don't miss a step!

Gru voiced once again by the extraordinary talent that is Steve Carell is recruited by Silas (Steve Coogan) head of the AVL (Anti-Villain League) to track down and stop an unknown villain who has stolen a top secret research lab from the Arctic, he is teamed with Agent Lucy Wilde (voiced by the wonderful Kristen Wiig) and the pair set out to solve the mystery and apprehend the culprit, their cover is a cupcake store at the local mall while they stake out the prime suspects.

Part of what works with Despicable Me 2 is the fact that it's relatable in the sense of a father doing his duty while facing ever difficult situations, such as the reintroduction of Gru at the birthday party of Agnes, where he dresses up as a fairy princess in order to not disappoint the young girl.

Packed full of thrills for the whole family, Despicable Me 2 is a definite hit, showcasing the pinnacle of 3D technology in cinema.

Illumination Entertainment continue to show that they are a force in the film industry and with Despicable Me 2 being such a strong entry, I can only be excited for what else Gru and his Minions will get up to in the future.
