SYNOPSIS

Two small time English con men in the heart of Chicago, Andy (NEIL MORRISSEY) and Pete (ADRIAN DUNBAR), are mistaken for a pair of hit men hired to bump off mob chiefton Ben Cutler (PETE POSTLETHWAITE) . Instead of clearing the matter up and wisely fleeing, the men try to take advantage of the Crime Boss who is hiring them. Relying on wit, nerve and a sociopathic impulse just this side of Caligula, the two are able to swindle the mobster out of a fair amount of cash without ever coming in contact with him.

However, just as they are about to flee home to England, Chicago’s Franco D’Amico (LOUIS D’BIANCO) drops in for a visit to see how the hired guns are doing. Things quickly go from bad to worse and Andy and Pete find themselves in the unwilling company of D’Amico doing the kind of socialising only the criminally insane engage in.

Things complicate even further when the real hit men, Tommy (MICHAEL RAPAPORT) and Terry (DONNIE WAHLBERG), show up. Now not only are Andy and Pete in a life-threatening situation, to make matters worse Terry falls for the daughter (CLAIRE FORLANI) of the man he’s been hired to wipe out!

The con men now focus all their energies on getting out of Dodge. And the road out takes some very surprising turns. As things fall apart around them, the boys find themselves face to face with the very dangerous Terry and Tommy, whilst facing off against an even more homicidal Franco D’Amico.

The ensuing chaos delivers a terrific comedic thriller in the style of LOCK, STOCK, AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and PULP FICTION.
