SYNOPSIS

Got a lot full of used cars you can’t sell?  Call Don “The Goods” Ready.  A rock star in the used car business, Ready (Emmy award-winning actor Jeremy Piven- ENTOURAGE, SMOKIN’ ACES) is a boozing, stripper- loving, type-A cowboy who can’t sit still long enough to put down roots.  Along with his colleagues Jibby Newsome (Ving Rhames -I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK & LARRY, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE III), Brent Gage (David Koechner- ANCHORMAN, TALLADEGA NIGHTS) and Babs Merrick (Kathryn Hahn- ANCHORMAN, STEP BROTHERS), Ready can guarantee a blow-out auto sale unlike any other.

When asked to help save an ailing local car dealership from bankruptcy, Ready and his ragtag crew descend on the town of Temecula like a pack of coyotes on a basket full of burgers. Selling, drinking, selling and going to strip clubs is their stock and trade. And they do it well. What Don doesn’t expect is to fall in love with Ivy (Jordana Spiro) the daughter of the dealership owner, and finally find his soul…cue heartfelt piano.  The film also stars Ed Helms (THE HANGOVER) as Ivy’s ‘Manband’ singer fiancé, Paxton Harding.

THE GOODS: LIVE HARD, SELL HARD is a brilliant new comedy from the makers of TALLADEGA NIGHTS and STEP BROTHERS.  Raunchy, risqué and politically incorrect, it will have audiences in stitches as it powers through a 3-day car sale, featuring a hilarious cameo from Will Ferrell. It is the first production from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions, directed by Neal Brennan, creator of hugely successful Comedy Central comedy, CHAPPELLE’S SHOW.
