Zooey wears Naeem Kahn with Christian Louboutins

02 September 2009

Boy meets girl, Boy falls in love.

Girl Doesn't.

3rd Rock from the Sun's Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel star in When Harry Met Sally for the 21st century and the (500) Days of Summer premiere took place in Los Angeles on June 24th.. it looks like it was a pretty cool event.

Zooey Deschanel hit the red carpet at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood where they talk about the buzz surrounding their film. Zooey Deschanel wore a dress from Naeem Kahn with Louboutins. Her diamond and platinum chandelier earrings and a diamond and platinum bow hair clip from Neil Lane. Her ring was from Van Cleef & Arpels. She was styled by Shirley Kurata.

Expected to be one of this summer's biggest indie films, 500 Days of Summer is attracting young, fashionable starlets to the movie's premieres in droves. Here are some of the best looks so far at the movie premiere.

Although they look alike, posing together at the (500) Days of Summer film premiere in LA, sisters Zooey and Emily Deschanel show just how different they are when it comes to red carpet dressing. While Emily keeps her look grown-up in a chic black dress paired with a matching patent clutch and black court shoes, younger sister Zooey looks the belle of the ball in a glitzy navy dress, with sequined embellishment on the skirt, adding baby blue court shoes for a quirky contrast.

Other celebrity guests included, Minka Kelly, Rachel Boston, Chloe Moretz, Diablo Cody, Emily Deschanel, Isabel Lucas, Jennifer Grey, Lynn Collins, Shiri Appleby and Steven Strait.

(500) Days of Summer is in Cinemas TODAY.

The Story: This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be - it's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will. When Tom, A hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

The Best Bits: The reality of love was portrayed perfectly through Tom and Summer's relationship, not to mention we can't get enough of the adorable Zooey Deschanel; Much like the actual summer (the season, not the character), we never wanted it to end.

The Worst Bits: The films non-linear flow might bother you (Day 12, Day 300, Day 11, Day 198, and so on and so forth...).

Final Thoughts: From the boyfriend/girlfriend-label dilemma to the drawn-out pains of heartbreak, this movie was by far the most genuine romantic comedy we have seen in a while. The hopeless romantics are sure to fall head over heels with this one.
