YRF’S Anticipated THUGS OF HINDOSTAN Starring Aamir Khan To Be Released In IMAX® In India + Select International Markets

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) today announced that Yash Raj Films’ much-anticipated epic —Thugs of Hindostan—will be digitally re-mastered in the immersive IMAX format and released in IMAX® theatres in India and select international markets beginning this November.

YRF’s Thugs of Hindostan is the most highly-anticipated Bollywood spectacle releasing this Diwali! Starring two of the biggest superstars of Bollywood, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, Thugs of Hindostan is the largest festive release for audiences. It also stars one of Bollywood’s most famous actresses Katrina Kaif and acclaimed actor Fatima Sana Shaikh (of Dangal fame) starring in the mega action entertainer. The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.

The IMAX release of Thugs of Hindostan will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
