Ahead of its August release, The Fan Carpet are delighted to bring you the Trailer and Selection of Photos for Daniel Zelik Berk’s spy thriller DAMASCUS COVER, courtesy of Vertical Entertainment!

Directed by Daniel Zelik Berk, the award-winning spy thriller DAMASCUS COVER starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Mission Impossible III, The Tudors) comes to UK cinemas 3 August 2018.

Also starring the legendary John Hurt (Alien, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) in his final role, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including; Olivia Thirlby (Juno, Dredd), Navid Negahban (Homeland, American Sniper) and Jurgen Prochnow (Das Boot, Dune).

The film centres around an Israeli spy, Ari Ben Zion (Meyers) who is haunted by the death of his son and is recalled to Jerusalem after a failed attempt to bring a mole back to Israel alive. Unsure how many of its operatives have been exposed, the Mossad assigns Ari to smuggle a chemical weapons scientist out of Syria.

While in Damascus, Ari’s loneliness is relieved by Kim (Thirlby), a young American photographer. Within days of his arrival his mission goes wrong and to survive Ari reaches out to a deep cover agent code named, The Angel. He soon discovers that he is a pawn in a much bigger plan that will change him forever.

Produced by Hannah Leader, Huw Penalt Jones, Jomon Thomas and Masaaki Tanaka, the film has already garnered critical acclaim awards at the Boston Film Festival & the Manchester Film Festival, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor.

Starring John Hurt, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Olivia Thirlby and Jürgen Prochnow, DAMASCUS COVER hits Cinemas on August 3.
