TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND to be shown in 1:9:1 aspect ratio exclusively at IMAX cinemas
FILL YOUR FIELD OF VIEW - TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND TO BE SHOWN IN 1.9:1 ASPECT RATIO EXCLUSIVELY AT IMAX® CINEMAS
Walt Disney Studios highly anticipated TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND, out this week across the UK, has been specially formatted for IMAX by the director Brad Bird to fill more of the IMAX screen for the entirety of the film.
IMAX provides filmmakers with the ability to use an expanded aspect ratio for the IMAX presentation of their film so they can utilise much more of the originally captured image. With the expanded aspect ratio on the immersive IMAX screens, moviegoers seeing TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND as with other IMAX films, will be rewarded with a full panoramic view that fills their peripheral vision more than any other cinematic experience.
Brad Bird in a newly released IMAX featurette says: “From the beginning, movies have demanded to be big and the best way to see a film is on a giant screen with lots of other people. One of the best ways to experience that feeling today is in IMAX, and that is a great way to see TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND.”
“TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND” stars George Clooney, and Britt Robertson. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever. Directed by Brad Bird.
The IMAX® release of “TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND” will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND WILL BE RELEASED IN IMAX CINEMAS ACROSS THE UK ON MAY 22
