Sony Channel Welcomes The Return Of Saving Hope with its Fourth Season and The Night Shift with its Third Season
Two Brand New Seasons; One Gripping Night
Sony Pictures Television is delighted to announce the return of two hit American shows to Sony Channel (Sky Channel 157, Virgin 193, BT and TalkTalk 331), with the UK premieres of Saving Hope season four and The Night Shift season three, both back with a bang from Tuesday, 30th August at 9:00pm and 10:00pm. These two stand-out hit US medical dramas will screen back to back, as the doors of both Hope Zion Hospital and San Antonio Memorial Hospital open their doors once again for thrills, drama, romance and lifesaving medical procedures!
Supernatural medical drama Saving Hope is back in the prime-time slot of 9:00pm following the adventures of Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance) and charismatic Chief of Surgery, Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) – former lovers once engaged to be married, until a life-changing accident left the latter with an uncanny ability to converse with the spirit world. Season four starts with a bang when Alex Reid returns to work for her first day of a competitive fellowship. Set eleven months after the events of Season Three’s explosive finale, the hospital is still reeling from the loss of Dr. Joel Goran. Expect a season of life and death decisions, nerve-shredding drama in this world and the next, and a healthy shot of romance as the heat ramps up for characters new and old.
You’re in safe hands with the team at Hope Zion not to mention a great cast with Erica Durance (Smallville), Michael Shanks (Stargate Sg-1), Daniel Gillies (The Originals), Wendy Crewson (Revenge), Julia Taylor Ross (Republic Of Doyle), Michelle Nolden (Nikita), Benjamin Ayres (Bitten), Huse Madhavji (Call Me Fitz), Kristopher Turner (The L.A. Complex).
Then it’s straight into The Night Shift at 10:00pm, where anything goes as the wildest cases come through the door of San Antonio Memorial Hospital’s emergency room. Doctor T.C Callahan (Eoin Macken), the former Army doctor and Heart of The Night Shift is fighting to keep order by leading a highly-skilled ER team of veterans, active duty servicemen and civilians. Late nights on the ward see a bloody blend of heart-stopping action, irreverent humour, and sizzling romance, as Callahan and the team battle to save lives, and manage personal affairs almost as chaotic as the hospital itself. As Season 2 concluded, the night shift team was pulled in many directions - from TC Callahan and Topher Zia's (Ken Leung) life-changing return to Afghanistan, to Dr. Jordan Alexander's (Jill Flint) tragic miscarriage. Season three picks up four months later, and the crew are navigating wildly different paths. Relationships are changing, new doctors are arriving and everyone is looking at their lives from a fresh perspective.
This red-hot medical drama brings together a cracking team including Scott Wolf (Party of Five, Spin City, Everwood), Eoin Macken (Centurion), Jill Flint (Garden State), Ken Leung (Rush Hour), Brendan Fehr (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Robert Bailey Jr. (The Happening).
Having built a passionate fan-base on both sides of the Atlantic, Sony Channel is thrilled to have Saving Hope and The Night Shift back for explosive new seasons. The dramas join a long list of recent UK Premieres exclusive to the channel, with fans able to enjoy the likes of Younger, Ghosts In My Home, Hot In Cleveland, Satisfaction, and Community here in the UK for the very first time.
So don’t delay. Book your recurring appointment with the doctors of Saving Hope and The Night Shift, every Tuesday night from 9:00pm, for two hours of unmissable, back to back medical drama. Tuesday nights have never been so good!
