THE FILM WAS THE NUMBER 1 CHOICE FOR AUDIENCES ON ONE OF THE FINAL WEEKEND’S OF THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Disney’s Christopher Robin continues its successful reign at the top of the UK box office for a third consecutive weekend in a row.

The final weekend before many of the schools go back sees the live action adventure starring Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell, alongside Winnie the Pooh and his loveable friends break the £10m barrier as they join a roster of three films including Black Panther, Peter Rabbit and Avengers: Infinity War, all of whom have held three consecutive weeks at number one this year.

In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s Christopher Robin, the young boy who shared countless adventures with his band of lovable stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood is now grown up and living in London but he has lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life once again. The film, directed by Marc Forster, stars Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Mark Gatiss and Bronte Carmichael as well as the voices of Jim Cummings, Brad Garrett, Peter Capaldi, Sophie Okonedo, Toby Jones and Nick Mohammed.

Lee Jury, Head of Walt Disney Studios UK says, “Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Roo, Piglet and of course Eeyore are some of the most cherished and enduring characters to so many generations of kids, adults and fans. It is simply wonderful to see the love that audiences feel towards them perfectly illustrated at the box office with Disney’s Christopher Robin holding the top spot for 3 consecutive weekends. Congratulations to the brilliant team that brought the film to the big screen led by director Marc Forster.”
