Georgia Hirst and Manpreet Bambra Among Cast as Iron Box Films Rounds Out Cast for Bernhard Pucher’s RAVERS as Shooting Begins

The production and sales outfit’s second feature will be a witty and blood-spattered horror about murder and mayhem at an illegal party

Production outfit, Iron Box Films, has today announced that Georgia Hirst (Vikings), Danny Kirrane (Games of Thrones), Manpreet Bambra (Free Rein), Maria Volk (Wolf Creek 2) and Kamal Angelo Bolden (Chicago Fire) will round out the cast of Bernhard Pucher’s Ravers.

Actress Natasha Henstridge (The Black Room) will also take on a cameo role. Iron Box Films’ Raimund Berens and Michael Dobbin will produce, with The Works’ Deepak Sikka and Colin Brown serving as executive producers. Principal photography commenced this week in Cardiff, with the film shooting for six weeks at Pinewood Studio Wales.

Penned by Pucher (Betsy and Leonard, Black Sand) and Luke Foster (Betsy and Leonard), and adapted from Foster’s original screenplay of the same name, Ravers follows an illegal night-time rave, in a factory where contaminated energy drinks caused a worker to go fatally berserk, that turns into a nightmare. As a forgotten batch of the drink is found and consumed by drunken ravers, a truly terrifying physical transformation takes over and those unaffected try to escape in panic. Becky, a germophobic journalist, reluctantly there to cover the event, is trapped among the increasingly hostile crowd of dancers, and to save herself and her friends, she has to overcome her deepest phobias to help them get out alive.

Ravers’ mix of cool, gritty aesthetic, blood-thirsty spectacles and black humour combine to make this an exciting genre proposition from Iron Box Films. Formed in 2007 and releasing its first feature film, Betsy & Leonard, in 2012, the production company has grown steadily since its inception raising a £1.5 million development fund in 2013 and now with over 12 films in development.
