The Fan Carpet's Ellie Torrez spoke to Sophie Simnett, Luke Newton and Josh Sinclair-Evans ahead of the release of season 2 of Disney The Lodge on Disney Channel on Friday June 9th at 5.30pm.

Disney Channel’s hit musical teen drama The Lodge burst onto screens last year with the channel’s biggest ratings for a series premiere in over four years, and has been aired in over 100 countries worldwide including the US and Canada. Viewers were left on tenterhooks at the end of the first season the romantic triangle between Skye, Sean and Ben reached an electrifying cliff hanger - as Skye sends a text to one boy revealing who she had chosen. On Friday 9th June her decision will be revealed, as the gang reopen the North Star Lodge for an extended second season of 15x30” episodes premiering at 5.30pm on Disney Channel and DisneyLife.
Sophie Simnett (Skye), Thomas Doherty (Sean), Luke Newton (Ben) all return for the next chapter in the story, along with fellow core cast members Jade Alleyne (Kaylee), Jayden Revri (Noah), Joshua Sinclair-Evans (Josh), and Bethan Wright (Danielle), with Mia Jenkins joining the gang as a brand new arrival at the lodge.
Girls Aloud pop royalty Kimberley Walsh, star of Shrek and Elf! The Musical, also joins the cast as music producer Rebecca and Disney Descendants star Dove Cameron will play new character Jess. They will also be joined by former Eastenders star, Mia Jenkins.
The first season followed 15 year old Skye as she left the city behind her and moved to begin her new life in the country, following the death of her mother. At the lodge she made new friends and embarked on new adventures, and season 2 will see the cast face new challenges, solve new mysteries, and continue to navigate the emotional rollercoaster of their teenage years.
Music remains at the heart of Disney The Lodge, with the new season featuring 12 brand new original songs, brought to life with spectacular choreography that will make The Lodge season 2 bigger, brighter and bolder than ever.
