What is Super 8?

According to the man himself, 'Super 8', the new secret film from J.J. Abrams has no connection to 'Cloverfield'.

Fans of the creature feature across the world were hoping for a prequel or sequel to 'Cloverfield', but despite early reports that 'Super 8' was connected to 'Cloverfield' J.J. Abrams has come out and said 'You have to check out the trailer, but it has nothing whatsoever to do with Cloverfield'.

In 2007, the teaser for 'Cloverfield' was attached to Transformers with no title, atleast this time around we know the title of the film, so what's it about? Abrams went on to say 'I won’t be able to tell you until it’s done', so is it super secret even to himself? Speculation is rife at the moment over what the film will be about, we'll find out in due course after the trailer hits with Iron Man 2 in the States on Friday.
