Tribeca Film Festival’s Nora Ephron Prize winner Adult Life Skills – In Cinemas Tomorrow – Meet the Cast of Adult Life Skills

23 June 2016

Adult Life Skills has generated buzz from its female writer/director Rachel Tunnard, Nora Ephron Prize winner at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and nomination for a BAFTA short film. On the verge of her 30th birthday Anna is given an ultimatum to move out of the shed, stop dressing like a teenager and get a haircut that doesn’t question her gender.  The hilarious quarter-life crisis film is a story about the universal theme of being lost and finding yourself and gaining self confidence.

To mark the release of Adult Life Skills we’re going to take a look at a few of the cast members and their led up to their roles in Adult Life Skills...

Jodie Whittaker

Jodie Whittaker returns to her hometown of West Yorkshire to play Anna in her latest film Adult Life Skills, a 30 year old still mourning the death of her twin brother that spends her days making thumb videos while living in her mums shed. Jodie made her acting debut in The Storm at Shakespeare’s Globe. Since then she has worked in theatre, film and television. Jodie has also stars in the ITV drama Broadchurch. She plays the role of Beth, a mother grieving the death of her murdered child. Not only is her character battling the grief of a child but also deals with a rebellious teenager and a challenging marriage. A character with so much depth and emotion would be difficult for most people to play but Jodie pulls it off seamlessly. One could say this TV role helped her prepare for her role in Adult Life Skills as her character tries to move past the death of her twin brother.
