Transformers 3D heading our way

11 June 2010

'Transformers 3' the next installment to the hugely successful 'Transformers' franchise from Paramount Pictures will officially be 3D, we do not know yet if the film will be shot in 3D (hope so to avoid any 'Clash Of The Titans' haze), not only that but director Michael Bay, revealed some tidbits about the plot.

Apparently, the villain of the film will be the one eyed Shockwave, who was originally appointed as guardian of Cybertron once the Autobots and Decepticons left for Earth, but ended up trying to run the place. At least, that’s one version of his story. In the twisted, overlapping chronology of the robot characters, he’s had several identities. Plus, like the previous outings, the film could always put a new spin on his existence.

Bay said "One thing we're getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy, the annoying, jive-jabbering twins are “basically gone.” Forget them!"

He spoke about the heavily critisised Revenge Of The Fallen stating “It was very hard to put the sequel together that quickly after the writers' strike of 2007-08."

Despite the director constantly claiming that he’ll move on after each film, Bay claims that this time he’s really aiming to bring the story to a close. “As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."
