Studio bosses deny Salt troubled production rumours

12 January 2010

Rumours that Angelina Jolie's latest movie is in trouble after recent re shoots have been denied by movie executives.

Salt stars Angelina Jolie and tells the story of a CIA agent forced on the run after she is accused of being a Russian spy. However, Jolie has been forced to head back to New York for re-shoots on several scenes, leading to speculation that there has been a dispute between director Philip Noyce and the film's producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

An insider on the movie told Page Six, "The re shoots had to be done because the completed versions just didn't look good. There were at least two scenes which were bad, including the climax, so some changes had to be made pretty quickly."

A Sony Pictures spokesman has denied the claims however, saying, "Production was completed last fall. We did return to shoot some additional action sequences in New York during the last several days. The filmmakers and the studio couldn't be more happy with the results and look forward to the release this summer".
