Ritchie to direct King Arthur tale
10 March 2010
First it was Sherlock Holmes, now it's King Arthur's chance to get reimagined by Guy Ritchie.
The British director has signed on to direct the latest movie version of the legend of King Arthur – with Trainspotting's John Hodge on scripting duties.
Both Ritchie and Hodge are working on the story, which is said to be based on Le Morte d’Arthur - a collection of French and English tales by Thomas Mallory, reports Variety.
It's no surprise Ritchie is being sought after for big budget epics, he has become something of a Hollywood darling after his take on Sherlock Holmes resulted in a successful run at the worldwide box office.
