Renowned Producer Jane Steventon Joins Awesome Media & Entertainment as Development Producer for UK Scripted Content

The Story of Tracy Beaker and Hollyoaks Later Producer joins the London- based company to work across both children’s and adult UK scripted content

Steventon joins Awesome with a wealth of industry experience having produced iconic kids’ television series The Story of Tracy Beaker and the film Tracy Beaker's 'The Movie of Me', as well as producing popular UK dramas Hollyoaks Later and Casualty.

Steventon will be working directly with Norton across the company growing development slate of both original and adapted IP.

Steventon will lead Awesome’s adaptation of the literary novel ‘The Last Wave’ together with ex-BBC Studios executive Fraser Robinson and develop television adaptations of Awesome’s best-selling book series ‘Princess Ponies’ and ‘MetaWars.’

 

 

Awesome Media & Entertainment Ltd. (Awesome), the creative content company founded by writer-producer Jeff Norton, has hired Jane Steventon as Producer to work across UK scripted, focusing on both children’s and adult content.

Steventon joins Awesome with a wealth of industry experience having produced iconic kids’ television series The Story of Tracy Beaker and the film Tracy Beaker's 'The Movie of Me', as well as producing popular UK dramas Hollyoaks Later and Casualty. Steventon will be working directly with Norton across the company growing development slate of both original and adapted IP.

The appointment marks Awesome’s first since taking investment from global content company Kew Media Group. With Kew’s backing, Awesome is ramping up its scripted development both in the UK and internationally.

Jeff Norton, founder of Awesome and writer-producer said “We are thrilled to welcome Jane on board as we begin to expand our slate of scripted output.
