Rachel McAdams takes ‘The Vow’

18 June 2010

Hollywood sweetheart Rachel McAdams known for her role in 'Mean Girls' and 'The Note Book' has signed on to play 'Dear John' star Channing Tatum's wife in the upcoming film 'The Vow' based on a true story about a young woman who loses all recent memory in a car accident and struggles to rebuild her identity.

But then she wakes up, and has no memory of who her man is or that fact that they were married. So hubby is forced to win her heart all over again. Women, eh? One little coma and all they can think to say is, "Who the hell are you and why should I care where your genitals fit in all of this?" And while it sounds like the pitch for a comedy, it’s planned as an affecting romantic drama.

Production is set to start at the end of August in Chicago and Toronto directed by Michael Sucsy and is set for release in 2012.
