Philip Seymour Hoffman wanted for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Now that a new director in the form of Francis Lawrence is at the helm of the next instalment of The Hunger Games franchise, it is time to fill some all important supporting roles in the Jennifer Lawrence starring sequel.

The word from Deadline is that Capote Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is in the frame to join the stellar cast as new gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee, who takes over from Wes Bentley's Seneca Crane after he resigns.

Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson as love interests Gale and Peeta respectively while several key roles are yet to be cast with one such role garnering a lot media attention; new tribute Finnick Odair which has both Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund linked to the role, while Twilight's Robert Pattinson was rumoured for the role, but the actor dismissed those reports.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set for a release on November 22 next year and will reportedly shoot in Atlanta.
