Olivia Thirlby set to join Ivan Reitman’s comedy

27 April 2010

It is reported that Olivia Thirlby is in talks to join the Ashton Kutcher starring comedy from Ivan Reitman. The film was known as Friends With Benefits, but is currently untitled.

The currently untitled film (it had to lose that title as there is more than one film of that name doing the rounds) is a semi-reversal of When Harry Met Sally’s concept, which finds two no-strings sex partners (Kutcher and Natalie Portman) who suddenly discover they’re falling for each other. Which, admittedly, sounds a lot like another Kutcher film, A Lot Like Love, but presumably the devil's in the detail.

Thirlby, has reportedly landed the role of Natalie Portman's sister in the film, the cast of the film is looking rather good with the likes of Greta Gerwig, Kevin Kline, Ophelia Lovibond, and Ben Lawson thrown into the mix, we'll know soon enough if this is to shoot before Thirlby's blockbuster 'The Darkest Hour' the alien invasion thriller.
