Olivia Newton John says Taylor Swift should be Sandy in Grease remake
Screen Icon Olivia Newton-John who is famed for playing Sandy in 1978's Grease has named Taylor Swift as her choice to star in a Grease remake should one be made.
The actress and singer has revealed that she has no problem with a remake of her musical classic, as long as the proper cast is chosen and tells Showbiz Tonight "I'm sure they'll try a remake, and I think it would probably do well because people would be curious, but there's something about the originals... that people still want to see. But I'm sure they'll do it, and they'll do an updated version, and it'll be great. Lately, I've thought Taylor Swift could probably play Sandy, because she's very talented. And my daughter, I've always thought she could."
Swift recently promised not to take on roles that she is not "obsessed" with as it would not be fair to take them from actors who wanted the parts more and while she is rumoured to be in the running to play Joni Mitchell in a forthcoming biopic, she'll next be heard as Audrey in Dr. Seuss' The Lorax alongside Zac Efron when it is released in 3D on July 27.
DR. SEUSS' THE LORAX IS RELEASED IN 3D ON JULY 27
