Disney announces Mickey and Pals Takeover in the UK and Ireland in September

Broadcast on Disney XD +1 and carried by Sky and Virgin Media, it will include hit Mickey-related programming from the number one pay children’s TV channel

Disney Channels UK and Ireland has today announced it will launch a Mickey and Pals takeover on September 4, running 24-hours-a-day for the course of the month on Disney XD +1 carried by Sky and on Virgin Media.

Content will include selected episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Sofia the First, The Lion Guard and Doc McStuffins. The channel will also host a range of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse specials.

Mickey and Pals will cater for younger Disney Junior preschool viewers and follows on from the successful launch of the channel’s latest property, Mickey and the Roadster Racers. In the UK, its premiere episode ranked number one in its timeslot amongst all kids’ channels – ahead of free to air competitors. Mickey and the Roadster Racers has reached an impressive 3 million viewers above 4 years of age since launching in April 2017. (Sources: BARB/TechEdge. Mickey and Pals takeover will be broadcast on Disney XD +1 (Sky 608) and (Virgin Media 708) from September 4-29 in the UK.
