Modern Family babe Sofia Vergara wanted for Robert Rodriguez’ Machete Kills
She was last seen in the ensemble comedy New Year's Eve and currently seen in television favourite Modern Family, and word is Sofia Vergara is in talks to join the gorgeous cast of Robert Rodriguez' Machete Kills.
The Emmy and Golden Globes nominated actress would join the likes of Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and the recently cast Amber Heard in the film from Kyle Ward and will see Danny Trejo return to the title role.
Mel Gibson and Demian Bichir also feature in the film which starts production this month and finds the titular ex-federale (Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to take down a cartel leader and stop an arms dealer (Gibson) from launching a deadly missile.
Vergara is said to be up for the role of the leather-clad Madame Desdemona whose Mexican harlots have information that Machete needs.
Vergara returns to cinemas in August for the Farrelly brothers comedy The Three Stooges alongside Sean Hayes.
