Because Laughter is Therapy and Music is Healing: Non-Profit In This Together Festival Tackles Post-Election Stress
In This Together Festival (ITT Fest) is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit mental health awareness event that features comedians, podcasters, and musicians who are known for their mental health advocacy, authenticity, and vulnerability. We respectfully celebrate those who have struggled with mental illness and adversity.
The festival is Sunday, November 13th from 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM at the Avalon Hollywood (1735 Vine St., Hollywood, CA 90028).
After the past few days, it is time for us to come together for catharsis and connection. In This Together Festival is committed to being a welcoming and open space in the midst of anguish and tension. We are featuring a free area in the upstairs of the Avalon Hollywood. This space will include VR demos, board games, and professionally led support groups sponsored by KnKt'd and Westside Treatment.
The festival also features a ticketed portion in the main room from 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM. ITT Fest booked artists who have already used their respective platforms to give a voice to the cause of mental health. Festival organiser Meghan Parkansky reports that she has spoken to several ITT Fest performers and they are devastated about the recent events, but feel it is more important than ever to bring people together because laughter is therapy and music is healing.
