Kristen Stewart sustained foot injury on Breaking Dawn reshoots

06 May 2012

She returns to cinemas in June for the fairytale epic Snow White and the Huntsman, and it has emerged that Kristen Stewart suffered a foot injury during reshoots for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

The sought after On The Road actress wore flat shoes rather than heels for her recent appearance on The Tonight Show because of the "puncture wound" she sustained during a hunt sequence in the film and explains to host Jay Leno "I wasn't trying to have, like, ultimate swag when I walked out - I hurt my foot, I wasn't trying to get out of wearing heels either. Puncture wound, promise!"

Stewart also talked about growing up in the film industry stating "I grew up on a set and it's not the easiest route to take. It was so random and by chance that things stumbled together and I'm doing this as a career."

The aforementioned Snow White and the Huntsman opens in cinemas on June 1 and features the all star cast of Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Ian McShane, Sam Claflin, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, Lily Cole, Eddie Marsan and Rachael Stirling after that she will be seen in Walter Salles' On the Road with Tron: Legacy's Garrett Hedlund on September 21.
