Katherine Heigl is a Cute Mamma

Katherine Heigl looks adorable as she carries around her baby daughter Naleigh after spending the afternoon at a garden party with friends.

Afterward, the 31-year-old former Grey's Anatomy actress lunched with her momager Nancy and musician husband Josh Kelley.

"I'm a lot more strict than I thought I would be," Heigl says, laughing, at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ball in New York.

"I really feel like discipline and manners, a good schedule, a good night sleep and a good nap are really important. I didn't think I would be quite so like that."

Katherine looks casual and chic in animal print top, cuffed jeans and flats, Josh looked like he was ready to play a round of golf in his dapper outfit.

Meanwhile, Katherine says she would rather stay home with her 17-month-old little girl than work and have to miss out on Naleigh's special moments.

"Naleigh's still so new in our lives," she says. "They change every month so monumentally that every month she's a new kid."

Katherine adds: "She just started walking this weekend, she started talking more last month. If I were missing that right now, I would just be devastated."

Despite no longer being part of the Grey's cast, Katherine will still be clocking in some hours at work, with several projects in development, including two new films, Life as We Know It and Killers, which are both due out this year.
