Hollywood Legend Sylvester Stallone and Star Wars: The Force Awakens Villain Adam Driver Team for Tough As They Come
He last Directed 2010’s The Expendables and according to The Wrap Sylvester Stallone is set to step behind the camera again with Tough as They Come, the true story of American hero Travis Mills who is a quadruple amputee.
According to sources close to the project, Stallone will also co-star alongside Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens villain Adam Driver, in the film which will be adapted from etired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Mills’s memoir.
Tough As They Come currently doesn’t have a studio or indie distributor behind it, but it is currently being shopped around by Stallone’s agent from William Morris Endeavor.
Word is that Driver is set for the role of Mills, who was critically injured on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan by an IED, losing portions of both legs and both arms, who is one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries.
Stallone was last seen in Creed and heard in Ratchet & Clank and will next be seen in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 whilst Driver can currently be seen in Paterson and Silence and returns to his role of Kylo Ren in Star Wars: Episode VIII this December.
