Hanks to direct Julia Roberts

Tom Hanks is set to step behind the camera for the first time since his 1996 movie debut That Thing You Do.
Not only will Larry Crowne see Hanks on directing duties, but he has also written the script. It's not yet known if Hanks will star in the title role as well.
The film, which has been described by Variety as focusing "on a middle-aged man being forced to find a new career", will also see Hanks reuniting with his Charlie Wilson's co-star, Julia Roberts.
While Hanks hasn't directed on the big screen since That Thing You Do, he has directed several episodes of TV - including acclaimed episodes of wartime drama Band of Brothers.
