Friday The 13th Part 2 Not Happening
It is reported that the follow up to last years remake of Friday the 13th is dead in the water, Brad Fuller, the producer at Platinum Dunes confirmed it by saying “It is dead. Not happening. Right now there is no movement.”.
A lot of rumours suggested that we would get Friday the 13th part 2 sometime this year but it seems that for now at least, Jason Voorhees is dead.
Although being critically hammered, last year’s remake took a respectable $91.3 million worldwide, so the news that Platinum Dunes aren’t looking at cashing in this year is somewhat surprising, the invincible hockey-masked killer has lumbered through twelve films to date, it's hard to imagine we've seen the last of him. We imagine all Platinum Dunes' number-crunchers will be eyeing the performance of a certain Freddy Krueger. If Nightmare on Elm Street kills, there may be life in Jason yet.
Is this the last of Jason? we will see.
