Godzilla II: King of the Monsters, Terminator, Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4 – Franchise Films for 2019: The Best On The Way

17 December 2018

It’s that time of year when movie buffs are looking ahead to the new year and the big budget franchises that are on our doorstep.

2019 is going to be another bumper year for the sequel and there are a number of films you really don’t want to miss out on.

From Pixar classics to Marvel megastars we’re in for a real treat next year. Here are our ones to watch for the year ahead...

Godzilla II: King of the Monsters
Godzilla has seen a real resurgence in recent years and 2019 will see King of the Monsters hit the big screen, with more action than ever before.

There’s a huge appetite for the 35th film in the franchise following a four year wait that has seen the world go crazy for it.

We’ve seen TV shows, comics, toys, games and even slot machines themed around the monster. The latter is now one of the most popular in the online casino world and that’s only going to increase as we get ever closer to the May 2019 release date.

Traditional slot machines are seeing less players than ever before, however online slot machines are experiencing a rise in interest, with a sizeable chunk of the £4.9 billion online gambling industry in the UK made up by casino gaming.

Godzilla is playable on most casinos worldwide and you can click here to find out more. However, it won’t be just yourself winning big on the slots, Godzilla will likely be a box office smash, with a new trailer released just a few days ago.

The action looks phenomenal and will take place five years following the first film.

Terminator
A sixth instalment of Terminator will hit the silver screen in 2019, with Arnie once again the star of the show.

Linda Hamilton will also be back with the film set for release in November.

It’s not clear exactly how the film will go at the moment but it will see James Cameron have a significant role in the film as a producer.

Tim Miller will be in the director’s chair having previously directed Deadpool, so we can expect similar thrills and spills from this one.

It’s sure to be closer to the quality we expect that’s Terminator: Genisys and many fans are already desperate to see the movie released. Less than a year to go...

Avengers 4
The Avengers never fails to break records and it’s almost a given that the follow up to Infinity War will do the same.

Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are all confirmed to name a few and will be released in the US on April 26, the same day as the UK.

It will be called Avengers: End Game and it’s expected a trailer will arrive before the end of the year.

It’s a never-ending cast of stars and is going to be another huge hit. It’s perhaps Marvel’s finest franchise and we really can’t wait for it.

Toy Story 4
Everyone’s favourite talking toys are back in June 2019 and will pick up where the third instalment left us - with Woody and co. handed on to a new home.

The film centres around a road trip and is expected to be a search for Bo Peep who has gone missing.

There’s a new character in Forky, who will provide an interesting relationship with Woody, while all the favourites will be back. Because, let’s face it, Toy Story isn’t the same without them.

It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated Pixar movies for some time and there’s a real hope it will deliver just as much as Toy Story 3 did eight years ago.
