ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY CLAIMS THE SECOND BIGGEST DECEMBER OPENING EVER (BEHIND STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS) AND THE BIGGEST OPENING OF 2016

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has taken a phenomenal estimated £17M at the UK and Irish Box Office over the 4 day weekend and has seen an estimated 75% of UK audiences join the Rebellion. The first of the Star Wars standalone films has become the second biggest December opening of all time (behind The Force Awakens) and the biggest opening of 2016 in UK.

In the US, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has also become the second biggest December opening of all time (behind The Force Awakens) with an estimated $155M. Globally the film delivered a truly out of this world $290.5M, opening at #1 in every country in release.
