Earth Touch Secures International Distribution Rights For Grizzly Creek Films’ EPIC YELLOWSTONE From Smithsonian Channel™
Acquires four part Grizzly Creek Films produced wildlife series for international distribution ex. North America ahead of MIPCOM 2017
(WASHINGTON, DC, DURBAN, and LONDON, MIPCOM 2017) Wildlife and factual entertainment producer and distributor Earth Touch has secured the international distribution rights (ex. North America) for Smithsonian Channel’s Epic Yellowstone (4 x 60’), a landmark 4K natural history series from producer Grizzly Creek Films. The series follows life in Yellowstone National Park, a region of breathtaking landscapes and incredible biodiversity in the central United States. This marks the first time Earth Touch has handled global sales on a Smithsonian Channel-commissioned title.
One place in North America has captured the world’s imagination for generations: the world’s first national park - Yellowstone.
Filmed over two years and delivering in April 2019, episodes include ‘Return of the Predators’, which sees wolves return to Yellowstone at a time when the grizzly bear population is at an all-time high; ‘The River Wild’ following the Yellowstone, North America’s longest undammed river through four dramatic seasons; ‘Wings over Yellowstone’ shining a light on the stunning diversity of birds in the area; and ‘Subzero Yellowstone’ exploring how the area’s toughest inhabitants survive the harshest season in a place where temperatures can plummet to lower than anywhere else on the continent.
