Dwayne Johnson wanted for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island sequel
Following the announcement that a third entry in the Journey franchise had been green lit with Brad Peyton back at the helm, it looks like the director is looking to get the band back together.
Word via The Wrap is that the former wrestler is in talks with New Line and Warner Bros about reprising his role of Hank Parsons in a film that is expected to see Josh Hutcherson and Brendan Fraser return as well.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island grossed $272 million (£173m) worldwide and Peyton will be hoping to re create that magic with Brian and Mark Gunn returning to provide the screenplay.
It is not yet known if Michael Caine, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman and Kristen Davis are to return for the third entry, but with a release set tentatively for 2014 there's time to iron out the details.
