DreamWorks Animation’s CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE Breaks The Guinness World Record For The Largest Underpants

To celebrate the release of CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE, this morning DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox successfully broke the Guinness World Records title for the Largest Underpants.

The record was broken in London’s Coram’s Fields, with official Guinness World Records adjudicator Glenn Pollard measuring the pants as 23.44m (76ft, 11in) across the waist and 13.81m (45ft, 4in) from waistband to crotch.

This beats the previous record from September 2010, which measured 20m (65ft 7in) across the waist and 12m (39ft 4in) from waistband to crotch.

CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE is released in cinemas today (Monday 24th July) and is based on the worldwide sensation and bestselling book series. The film boasts an A-list cast of comedy superstars including Kevin Hart (Ride Along, Central Intelligence), Ed Helms (The Hangover), Thomas Middleditch (‘Silicon Valley’, Kong: Skull Island) Nick Kroll (Sausage Party, ‘Parks and Recreation’), Jordan Peele (‘Key & Peele’, Storks) and Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers) and is directed by David Soren (Turbo).
