Gripping docuseries to air in the U.K.

Independent content studio Critical Content and its global distribution partner on the project Electus International have signed a deal with Channel 4 for U.K. rights to the epic true crime docuseries THE CASE OF: JONBENÉT RAMSEY (2 x 120’). The limited event series sees some of the original investigators of one of the highest profile unsolved murders in recent history unite to re-examine the tragic case years later.

THE CASE OF: JONBENÉT RAMSEY premiered on CBS in the United States earlier this year, followed by Canada (Global TV) and Australia (Channel 9), scoring strong ratings across all territories. Set to air on More 4, the true crime special examines some of the confounding details of the gripping and sensational case which captivated the world, just a few months shy of the 20th anniversary of the six-year-old’s tragic death.

Tom Forman at Critical Content said “The story of the Ramsey family is one that is familiar to millions, arguably one of the most well-known cold cases in recent history. Tapping into both the appetite for true crime programming as well as a genuine quest for the truth, this docuseries has recaptured the attention of the world.”

The series features some of the original case investigators including former New York City prosecutor, retired FBI supervisory special agent and profiler Jim Clemente; world-renowned forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee; former chief investigator for the District Attorney in Boulder, Colo., James Kolar; leading forensic pathologist Dr. Werner Spitz; and retired FBI supervisory special agent and forensic linguistic profiler James Fitzgerald. New experts reviewing the case include former New Scotland Yard criminal behavioral analyst Laura Richards and retired FBI supervisory special agent and statement analyst Stan Burke.

The scope of the highly skilled team’s investigation includes re-examining crucial evidence, meticulously recreating the alleged crime scene by rebuilding full-scale replicas of key rooms from the Ramsey house, conducting extensive interviews and introducing new theories – all in an attempt to get closer to the truth of this tragic, decades-old mystery.

THE CASE OF: JONBENÉT RAMSEY is produced by Critical Content. Tom Forman, Andrew Marcus and Eddie Schmidt serve as executive producers.
