Colin Morton reviews True Blood Season 4

13 June 2012

With True Blood Season 4 out now on Blu-ray and DVD, Colin Morton reviews the boxset as we delve deeper into the world of Bon Temps.

Featuring the star studded cast of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard, True Blood is a Golden Globe winning HBO production.

Well it's been a while but I thought it was about time I caught up with our favourite Fairy and her Vampire friends in Bon Temps! True Blood series 4.

Where to begin? The beginning I guess, Sookie reunites with her granddaddy Earl after setting him free from the Fairy Elders only to watch him die in a cloud of smoke. Suddenly realizing she has been away for the past 12 months, many things have changed, house re-vamp, well actually sold, family turned to law enforcement in the guize of Jason who has to deal with some issues himself, most noticeable the warepanther saga.

Fast forward to Marnie and her band of witches! This lady rocks! Missing her friend, Marnie decides to resurrect a body only things go a tad wrong? and before you know it the plot is set, with witches casting spells to bring the vampires out in the sun. Even Mikey scared the bejesus out of me.. I won't spoil the plot but let's just say "I thought Chucky was bad". Eric terrifies the town as normal, until he crosses Marnie. It's becomes difficult to even think of him as the terrifying blood sucking dude that he is, and ladies, you're going to love him even more...
