Cameron not helming Spider-Man
19 January 2010
James Cameron insists he isn't helming the new Spider-Man movie.
The Avatar director tried to make a Spider-Man movie back in the 90s, and part of his script ended up in Sam Raimi's 2002 blockbuster. However, Cameron has ruled himself out of the director's chair for the reboot of the Spider-Man franchise following Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire's decision to quit the superhero series.
He told MTV, "It's a little bit sloppy seconds, let's face it."
The reboot of Spider-Man is to be released in 2012.
