Buffy the Vampire Slayer Creator and Avengers director Joss Whedon is reported to be working on BATGIRL for Warner Bros. Pictures
Visionary filmmaker Joss Whedon who brought us the likes of Avengers Assemble and Avengers: Age of Ultron is reportedly on the verge of Writing, Directing and Producing BATGIRL for DC Entertainment.
Variety reports that Whedon is in talks with DC Entertainment to give BATGIRL her first-ever live action solo outing, just two years after he walked away from Marvel after the mixed reception to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
If Whedon signs on the dotted line, it is believed that he will write, direct and produce the BATGIRL centric film for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Whedon has a long list of credits including Roseanne, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Toy Story, Titan A.E., Serenity, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog as well as the aforementioned Avengers Assemble and Avengers: Age of Ultron, he is currently attached to an as yet untitled WWII Horror Project.
