British And Irish Cameo Roles Announced For Blue Sky Studios Animation FERDINAND Ahead of its Release this December

30 November 2017

GERI HORNER, ROMAN KEMP, GEORGIE FIZZ & DARREN FIZZ (Family Fizz),
EMMA CONWAY (Brummy Mummy of 2) AND PIPPA O’CONNOR JOIN THE VOICE CAST OF THE ADOR-A-BULL ANIMATION FERDINAND

Joining John Cena in the Blue Sky Studios family animation are a host of British and Irish names, lending their voices to six cameo roles. This talented group of people join the already star-studded cast that also includes Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson, David Tennant, Sally Phillips and many more.

Singer-songwriter Geri Horner plays Scared Mother and said of her role, “I’m a massive fan of animation and I’m thrilled to be part of the film. I play an upset bossy woman, so I had a lot to draw from!”

Capital FM’s Roman Kemp takes on the character of Police Officer #1. “I’ve always wanted to be in some form of animation and this movie just looks so much fun and the guys behind it are amazing. I can’t wait for it to come out to show my family... hopefully I’ll make the final edit!”

The role of Concerned Lady will be played by Irish fashion blogger Pippa O’Connor. “I am so delighted to have a small part in Ferdinand - it’s my first time having a part in an animated movie so I jumped at the opportunity. I’m mostly excited about bringing my 4 year old Ollie to see it - he think it’s very cool that his Mama is in a movie!!”

YouTube sensations Georgie Fizz & Darren Fizz (@familyfizz) and Emma Conway (@brummymummyof2) round out the UK voice cast playing Man in Car, Newscaster and Police Officer #2. Georgie Fizz & Darren Fizz said “As a family we love watching animated films. We were thrilled and amazed to have the honour of playing voice parts in Ferdinand and found the whole voice-recording experience really good fun. We look forward to seeing the final movie. Look for us in the credits!”

Emma Conway said “I was so honoured to be asked to take part in such a wonderful children’s film. Going to the cinema is one of our favourite pastimes as a family and I can’t wait to go with the children and have them hear my very Brummie voice up on the big screen! Opportunities like this are rare and I am so excited to have been able to take part in such a wonderful experience!”

After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, Ferdinand is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.

From Carlos Saldanha (The “Ice Age” and “Rio” Franchises)” and inspired by the beloved book by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson, “Ferdinand” is a heartwarming animated comedy adventure from Blue Sky Studios that tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. John Cena (Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home) leads an all-star cast that includes Kate McKinnon (Finding Dory, Ghostbusters, The Angry Birds Movie), Gina Rodriguez (Deepwater Horizon, “Jane the Virgin”), Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”, Transformers), David Tennant (“Broadchurch”, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, “Doctor Who”), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’s Baby, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Bridget Jones’s Diary) and many more.
