On 25th of March, in the hidden gem of Baker Street, Rudolf Steiner Theatre, we have for you Lighting the Darkness Gala Fundraiser, a show with live music from Me for Queen (Iron Horse, What am I and why am I for) , Pianist Haruko Seki , and all inclusive company Mushroom Theatre ( My Feral Heart) to name but a few and the film's first Q&A with writer Aalisha Green, Producer Andreea Helen David and Doctor Robert Lawrence who will talk about the benefits of film and music for the sufferers.

Organised in support of the film Lighting the Darkness, an independent film currently in pre-production and dementia, with the support of Dementia UK and My Life Films , The Gala aims to offer you a night of celebration and awareness. We want to say ' thank you' to the wonderful carers , the unsung heroes and 'hang in there, we are here
to help' to the ones struggling.

The Gala is hosted by the actor and artistic director of Buckle Up

Theatre Company Andrew Hollingworth.

Andreea is an actress and the Producer of the film Lighting the Darkness, and Alisha Green is the writer, together they are making a film that delves into a world of dementia.

“Because we understand what a complex and emotional subject the illness is, and supporting patients and their carers is very important to us, we have decided to organise the Gala Fundraiser. Only through support we get to make a film that matters and helps to change and improve perceptions of what dementia is about' and this why we are making this film.”
