Baldwin to quit acting

Baldwin is quitting acting after admitting his movie career was a failure.

Baldwin, 51, is not proud of his film career, despite an Oscar nomination in 2003's The Cooler - and he's earmarked 2012 as the time he will quit.

He told Men's Journal, "I don't have any interest in acting anymore. I consider my entire movie career a complete failure. The goal of movie making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that.

"And now, the movies I've been in, I never give them a moments thought. Every movie I've ever been in I just avoid."

Which is hardly the best way to promote his forthcoming movie It's Complicated.
