AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: The Fan Carpet’s Camila Sayers Shares her thoughts on Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N at ExCel London

10 December 2018

The Marvel S.T.A.T.I.O.N experience is a must for fans of the Marvel movies.

S.T.A.T.I.ON is an acronym for Science Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network and from the moment you step into the experience you are greeted as trainees in an operation to help the Avengers and become part of this network. The investment in the technology and feel of the experience is impressive and you'll feel immersed straightaway. As soon as the next set of doors glide open, you are greeted by a dazzling sight of Iron Man amours, enough to excite any age or level of fandom.

I was mostly impressed by the multi room format this takes, each section has an array of different entertainment, from Bruce Banner's lab to never before seen displays of Black Panther, Thanos and The Wasp. Each turn has a little surprise in store, whether an interactive prop (try and lift Thor's hammer!) or insects scuttling around your every step, the whole journey is made to be very dynamic and worthy of plenty of pictures and recordings.

My personal highlight was seeing the displays up close. The enormity of the Marvel universe and the work that goes into the effects and characters looks sinks in as you walk around. Especially, the story behind each character which features quite a lot throughout.

Admittedly, I would not count myself as the most avid fan of The Marvel universe, but definitely enjoy watching the films and know about the characters. From this, I can wholeheartedly say that this experience is definitely for those who like me, are curious about learning more and a sure delight for fans and families. All ages can enjoy the array of props, interactive games, displays and (no spoilers here) the thrilling ending game which will complete your training as part of the operative network.
