Avengers Assemble star Mark Ruffalo interested in solo Hulk film

12 April 2012

He took over the role from Edward Norton for the eagerly awaited superhero team up Avengers Assemble, and word is that Mark Ruffalo isn't done with the character of Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk).

IGN report that Ruffalo has expressed interest in a solo outing for his Hulk saying he would "love" to play the character again in the future as he was a childhood fan of the Green Goliath revealing "It was the one character - you know, I was a comic book fan when I was a kid and I always loved the Hulk. When The Incredible Hulk, that show, came on, I would not miss that.

So if I was going to find myself in that world, this would be the guy that I would be most interested in doing. To make a very short answer long: Yeah, I'd love to have him do his own movie."

Ruffalo is the third actor in the last decade to following in the footsteps of Eric Bana who starred in Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk and the aforementioned Norton in Louis Leterrier's The Incredible Hulk in 2008.

Joss Whedon's Avengers Assemble comes to UK screens on April 26 and Marvel Studios previously confirmed that the computer-generated Hulk in Avengers Assemble was tailored to resemble Ruffalo.
