Avengers Assemble hero Chris Hemsworth says Thor 2 should learn from Game of Thrones

05 May 2012

He can currently be seen as the God of Thunder in Joss Whedon's superhero ensemble Avengers Assemble and he returns to cinemas in June for the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, Chris Hemsworth has said Thor 2 could learn from Game of Thrones.

The Australian actor revealed that he is looking forward to working with Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor on the superhero sequel telling MTV News "Game of Thrones had a real mythical element to it, but it was rooted in such an organic and tangible world, I think Asgard could really benefit from that sort of a grittier, aged feel to it and not so ethereal, the big thing about the comics for me was the origin story.

Thor was interesting, but what I found more fascinating was the other worlds and realms that you can be taken off into."

Thor 2 is set for release on November 15 next year and will see the return of Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
