Ashley Judd joins indie heist caper ‘Flypaper’

03 June 2010

'Double Jeopardy' and 'Tooth Fairy' star Ashley Judd has reportedly joined the cast of indie heist comedy caper 'Flypaper'.

She will play the object of Patrick Dempsey's affections in the film, in time for its June 7th start date.

Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, Stuart Little, The Forbidden Kingdom) is directing the script by The Hangover's writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The story involves two sets of crooks (one of them led by Tim Blake Nelson) robbing a bank at the same time, but finding guerilla opposition from spanner-in-the-works McDreamy Dempsey, who's in love with one of the bank tellers. It's Dog Day Afternoon, via Die Hard, for laughs!

Tim Blake Nelson is also starring as a bank robber, the film will also star Jessica Biel and is set to be released in 2011.
