Anthon Yelchin boldly goes to Fright Night

07 April 2010

Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin is negotiating to play Charley Brewster a horror-obsessed teenager who discovers that a vampire named Jerry (Chris Sarandon) has moved into the house next door. But despite his knowledge of vampire lore from the movies, Charley needs a little help when it comes to fighting his charms.

Tom Holland’s 1985 original 'Fright Night' saw William Ragsdale as Charley, the reimagining will be directed by Craig Gillespie for DreamWorks, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV veteran Marti Noxon has written the script, no word yet as to when it will start shooting, but stay tuned for more information as it happens.
